The Summit is open to all existing and prospective practitioners: Physicians, Nurses, Dentists and their team members.    

The Western Canadian Aesthetic Summit is for educational purposes only and not for specific certification or licensing to perform discussed procedures and treatments required by professional associations and regulatory bodies.  

A Certificate of Attendance will be provided upon request for submission to your respective professional association and/or regulatory body.

WCAS is announcing a call for abstracts for presentations for the 2019 Western Canadian Aesthetic Summit in Calgary, AB from May 3rd - May 5th, 2019.

Abstracts should be in relation to Advanced Aesthetics leadership and innovation and the conference theme “One Patient.  One Goal.  One Community”.

We are seeking abstracts from advanced aesthetics practitioners with a focus on :

1.  Addressing the improvement of safety for practitioners and patients

2.  Efficacy of agents, tools and methods used in practice

3.  Sharing clinical experience and results in practice


Abstracts may be submitted for the following types of presentations:

Oral Presentation: A 20-minute oral presentation with 10 minutes allowed for questions

Other: On a case-by-case basis the selection, WCAS will consider other forms of presentations such as interviews, videos, etc.


Abstract Submission Guidelines:

Submissions can be made in English.

Indicate your name, company and title of project.

Authors must organize and present abstract with the following information:

Background or significance of the project;

Purpose of the investigation;

Disclosure of any financial support or grants;

Methods to collect and analyze the data;

Results of the study; and

Conclusions, including implications for practice.



The abstract should be a maximum of 200 words and be submitted via email to info@theaestheticsummit.ca



Submissions must be received no later than February 28, 2019



Your abstract, which should be of interest to a broad range of advanced aesthetic practitioners, will be evaluated on the following criteria:

Abstract Themes:

Clearly Addresses at least one of the themes : Safety.  Efficacy. Results.


Clearly states what others can learn from the presentation


Explains how the abstract reflects on "One Patient.  One Goal. One Community."


Quality of intent, spelling and grammar


Describes how the outcomes are applicable to advanced aesthetic practice


Displays originality, innovation and leadership


If your abstract is accepted :

You will be notified by March 15th, 2019.

You must register for WCAS2019 by March 30th, 2019 using the access code awarded to you.

You will be responsible for all related expenses such as accommodations and travel.



There is no compensation for submitting an abstract.

Abstracts selected to present will be provided with a code for a complimentary (1) x 3-DAY ACCESS PASS to WCAS 2019
